Comfy, loose clothing works great. Wear some layers to adjust easily to optimal body temp. Socks are lovely, as the feet can get a little chilly when blood moves back towards the organs in a state of relaxation. Every sweet little detail makes a big difference! If possible, forgo caffeine in the time before our yoga session. Having a moderate amount of food beforehand isn't an issue. Come as you are. For myself, before practicing my own restorative yoga I like to contemplate and clearly name some of the current things in my life that I consciously know evoke a stress response. When they inevitably creep into my awareness during the practice, it feels easier to recognize and set it aside until I'm finished. This is part of a longer process, and you'll find that as your nervous system relaxes your mind will follow. The kind of objectivity I'm describing is gradually more accessible. See you soon!
